Kit AI
Your business, finally able to answer for itself.
Stop exporting spreadsheets to find out what you already own. Kit AI reads your live books — every sale, every shilling owed, every carton on every shelf — and answers in the language you would use with a colleague.
From $20 a month. Added to your Kit subscription — one payment, nothing separate to set up.
Which customers have gone quiet this month?
Eleven accounts that bought in each of the last three months have not ordered since the 2nd. Between them they are worth about UGX 4.8m a month.
The three largest are Kirenge Hardware, Mama Sarah Stores and Bwaise Agro Supply. Kirenge last bought on the 30th and still owes UGX 1.2m on invoice 4471.

The difference
It cannot see more than you can. Ever.
Most assistants are handed the whole database and asked politely to behave. Kit AI holds no permissions of its own. Every question runs under the login of the person who asked it — through the same gates the rest of Kit runs.
Bounded by your own login
A cashier asking about margins gets the same refusal the screen would give them. The boundary is not a prompt begging the model to be careful. It is a permission check that knows nothing about prompts.
Live records, not last night's export
Stock, sales, purchases, contacts, payments — as they stand this second. Not a nightly snapshot, and not a figure somebody typed into a spreadsheet in March.
The meter you watch is the bill
The count ticking up in the chat is the number your invoice is built from. One figure, in front of you, the whole time. No reconciliation, no surprise.
Permissions, demonstrated
The same question. Four different answers.
Ask “what did we make on the Kabale run?” and Kit AI answers according to who is asking. Nobody has to configure this. It is your existing roles, doing what they already do.
This is why a persona is only a manner of speaking. Selecting “Bookkeeper” changes the vocabulary. It has never once changed a permission.
What it can do
Built for the work, not for the demo.
Skills
The questions worth asking, already written. Who owes me money. What should I reorder. Which suppliers are slipping. Draft the chase letter for everyone past sixty days. One click, answered against your own records, under your own permissions.
Role personas
Tell it to think like a bookkeeper and it leads with amounts, dates and document references. Like a stock controller and it leads with quantities and locations. The emphasis moves. The boundary does not.
Standing instructions
Write once what you always want: quote in shillings, name the branch before the figure, never round past the hundred. Applied to every conversation from then on, without saying it again.
Where you already work
In the Kit AI desktop app on the counter machine, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Not another tab, another login, another thing to remember. The panel is next to the till.
“I stopped asking my accountant what happened last month. Now I ask before it finishes happening.”
One unit, all the way through. The count in your chat window is the count on your invoice.
Permissions Kit AI holds of its own. It borrows yours, for one question at a time.
Desktop platforms, signed and shipped together. Windows, macOS, Linux.
Getting started
Three steps. None of them is a data migration.
Tick it during Kit signup
Kit AI is a checkbox on the Kit checkout. It raises your subscription by a figure you can see, and is settled by the same payment. Already on Kit? Add it from your subscription page.
Install the desktop app on the counter machine
Windows, macOS, Linux. It signs in to the Kit business you already have, and keeps selling when the line drops.
Ask it something you would otherwise pay for
“What did we lose on returns last quarter?” “Which supplier has slipped on delivery dates?” “Draft the reminder for everyone over sixty days.”
Written for here
Africa is not a market segment. It is the specification.
Two currencies before lunch
Suppliers who invoice in dollars, customers who pay cash in shillings, and a rate that moved between the two. Kit AI reads all of it without being told which is which.
Tax that matches the authority
Kit files EFRIS in Uganda. Kit AI reads what was actually fiscalised, so what it tells you and what URA holds are the same number.
Works when the line does not
The desktop app keeps selling through an outage. Kit AI answers again the moment you are back, and nothing you asked before was held hostage to a connection.
Start with one question. Usually: who owes me money?
It takes a minute to set up and answers before you have finished your tea.
